  • Insurgency in iraq (post-u.s. withdrawal:: at least 51 people have been killed and many more injured in a series bombings and other attacks in and around baghdad.
  • A series of bombings in and around baghdad has resulted in the deaths of at least 51 people and the injuries to dozens more.
  • Construction crews are completing the replacement of the eastern span of san francisco bay bridge. the closure will be permanent. the new span will open tuesday.
