• Saudi arabian-led intervention into yemen: a coalition of arab countries launched an airstrike against a prison in yemen's al bayda governorate. it reportedly killed 20 prisoners. houthis controlled the prison, which housed more than 100 prisoners.
• South africa will leave the international criminal court. this is in response to criticism from the government for not obeying a court order to detain sudan's president earlier this year.
• Two men were killed in a shooting incident at a house located in omeath county louth in ireland, which also involved a police officer on duty.
