  • 01 Nov 2012 Syrian civil war: 28 soldiers killed by rebels in an attack on military checkpoints in the northern Idlib province. This happened hours after a wave bombings struck Damascus. Five rebels were also killed in gun battles that followed the attacks.
  • 02 Nov 2012 According to local residents, dozens of young men were shot by the military in Maiduguri (Nigeria), according to reports.
  • 03 Nov 2012 Syrian civil war: Major assault on Taftanaz Airbase by rebel forces in Syria.

  • 13 Nov 2012 Syrian civil war: Three Syrian tanks entered the Golan Heights demilitarized zone. Israel has filed a formal complaint with the United Nations.   • 16 Nov 2012 Hostess Brands announced it would file for bankruptcy and liquidate all its assets. The company stated that a strike by workers at a bakery union over contract disputes had "crippled" the operations of its business. Expect to lose 18,500 workers.
  • 17 Nov 2012 One person is killed and 20 others are injured when insurgents set off a motorcycle bomb in Mueangyla District, south Thailand. This attack happened one day before President Barack Obama's visit.
  • 18 Nov 2012 Officials say that at least 10 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a Gaza home. This is the most deadly day Israel has launched since its operation against Hamas militants last Wednesday. IDF bombs hit more than 80 Israeli terrorist targets today, including weapon smuggling tunnels and rocket firing sites. IDF releases video of rocket launch sites near a Mosque. Hamas is accused of using human shields.
  • 19 Nov 2012 Operation Pillar of Defense: Israeli air strikes kill at most 20 Palestinians in Gaza Strip, including Islamic Jihad members. Over 130 rockets are fired toward Israel, injuring many, amid ceasefire negotiations in Egypt. (BBC) (The Jerusalem Post)Rockets originating from the Egyptian-administrated Sinai Peninsula strike parts of southern Israel.
  • 20 Nov 2012 HonestReporting, a pro-Israeli non-governmental organization, brings to your attention footage taken by the BBC and broadcast by CNN. It shows a Palestinian man being taken away by a bomb blast but then reappearing moments later uninjured. Anderson Cooper, CNN's Anderson Cooper, was reporting on the original story and issued a retraction during his television program.

  • 26 Nov 2012 Syrian civil war: An aircraft of the Syrian government dropped a cluster bomb on a village playground in Deir al-Asafir. It left 10 children dead and fifteen others injured, activists claim.
  • 27 Nov 2012 Eight car bombings in Iraq have resulted in the deaths of at least 29 and injuries to 126 others.
  • 28 Nov 2012 Two car bomb explosions in Damascus' south-eastern area killed at least 54 people and left more than 120 others injured in the civil war in Syria.
  • 29 Nov 2012 Civil war in Syria: Syrian opposition fighters fight the Syrian Army outside Damascus. This forced the closing of the main runway and suspension of certain flights. In an unprecedented move, the internet and phone networks in Syria have been cut off.
  • 30 Nov 2012 A leaked list from Mexico's Attorney General's Office shows that more than 250,000 people were killed in the drug war. This puts the death toll for the six-year conflict at approximately 100,000.
