  • 01 Mar 2015 Estonian parliamentary elections 2015: The ruling Reform Party wins but loses the majority it had with its coalition partner, Social Democratic Party. Two new parties, the right-of the-centre Free Party of Estonia and the eurosceptic Conservative People's Party of Estonia, cross the threshold for the first time in years.
  • 02 Mar 2015 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant : A coalition of Iraqi Armed Forces and militias numbering in the 30,000s launches an offensive against Islamic State positions at Tikrit. Troops take control of al-Tin district and al-Abeid.
  • 03 Mar 2015 A dispute between industrial workers has forced Norwegian Air Shuttle to ground all passengers from Norway, Denmark and Sweden. This action will leave 35,000 people without a home.
  • 04 Mar 2015 Italy's Coast Guard rescues 941 migrants from trafficking south of Sicily aboard five motorized dinghies as well as two larger vessels. These boats are located near Italian ports. Authorities are unable to account for ten.
  • 05 Mar 2015 In Seoul, the American ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert was attacked by a knife-wielding attacker. According to authorities, the injuries to his wrist and face are not life-threatening.

  • 29 Mar 2015 2015 military intervention in Yemen. Pakistan sends a Boeing 777 to evacuate Pakistani citizens who are concerned about their safety. The plane will be allowed to enter the country, despite the Saudi Arabian no-fly zone.
