02 Mar 2015 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant : A coalition of Iraqi Armed Forces and militias numbering in the 30,000s launches an offensive against Islamic State positions at Tikrit. Troops take control of al-Tin district and al-Abeid.
03 Mar 2015 A dispute between industrial workers has forced Norwegian Air Shuttle to ground all passengers from Norway, Denmark and Sweden. This action will leave 35,000 people without a home.
