  • One suicide bomber kills and injures 32 people in Fuzhou, the provincial capital of Southeastern China’s Fujian Province.
  • STS-114. The Shuttle Discovery was waved by Mission Control Houston to land at Kennedy Space Center because of bad weather. NASA claims they will land the Orbiter within 24 hours. Six landing opportunities are available, including the two at Kennedy Space Center, Edwards Air Force Base, and the White Sands Missile Range.
