• Soyuz MS-11, carrying Canadian David Saint-Jacques and American Anne McClain, landed in Kazakhstan from the International Space Station. Canada's record-breaking 204-day stay on the ISS was set by astronauts and cosmonauts.
• American actor and television star Billy Drago was killed in a stroke in Los Angeles. American singer and mandolinist Jeff Austin, who was also a founder member of the Yonder Mountain String Band died from an unspecified medical emergency in Seattle.
